Start with the exact badge

A badge describes an eligibility or history signal. It is not a substitute for checking the account.

Different badges describe different things. Nitro reflects a subscription; Server Booster reflects boosting activity. Legacy badges record earlier programs. Hover the icon in Discord and match its name to Discord’s badge documentation.

Early Supporter was awarded for Nitro purchases before 10 October 2018. HypeSquad Events, Moderator Program Alumni and Partnered Server Owner are also listed as legacy badges that can no longer be obtained.

The badge stays with its account

Discord explicitly says profile badges cannot be moved between accounts. A standalone icon cannot be transferred to another profile. Boosting badges can also reset when boosting stops, so a screenshot does not establish that a badge will remain unchanged.

Keep history separate from trust

Our reading advice: identify what the badge records, then ask separate questions about identity, current access and account history. A badge explanation answers “what is this icon?”; it does not resolve those other questions.

Be especially cautious of support claims in DMs. Discord says its staff do not contact users through the app for support matters. A request for payment, personal information or changed credentials should not be treated as legitimate support because a profile looks convincing.
